Export rice to New York! There's a flashy side to it like that, but at the same time farming work can be tough and tedious every day. For example, since no herbicides are used, all weeding in the rice paddies is done either with machines or by hand and cutting the grass on the steep slopes of the terraced rice fields is hard work.

Our business doesn't just provide safe rice for overseas customers but can be eaten with total peace of mind and which is already meaningful on its own. We are also creating a new kind of environmentally-conscious farming in depopulated mountainous areas and building up new rice markets which has a truly massive societal significance.
